['keməlmən], Harry, amerikanischer Schriftsteller, * Boston (Massachusetts) 24. 11. 1908, ✝ Marblehead (Massachusetts) 15. 12. 1996; belebte den traditionellen Kriminalroman, indem er den Rabbiner David Small an die Stelle des Detektivs treten ließ und das Gattungsschema mit soziologischen Studien über das Leben einer jüdisch-amerikanischen Gemeinde verband.
